Day 17 Husband Challenge
(Taken from Revive Our Hearts, PDF Download - 30 Day Husband Challenge)
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." Prov. 9:10
Are you a wise woman? Do you open your mouth with wisdom, as Proverbs 31:26 suggests? As you continue in your 30-day challenge, remember that a wise woman encourages her husband.
Is your husband a "wise man?" Does he have a godly perspective that comes from knowing God and walking with Him in obedience? Does he have a sense of purpose for his life and vision for your home? Tell him how much this means to you.
If you are not sure about your husband's vision for your home, ask him, "Honey, what do you want to accomplish with our marriage and home in the years to come?" and "How can I help you accomplish that?" If he does not have a vision, your questions may inspire him to develop one.
If your husband is not walking with God - or perhaps, does not know the Lord - you have the opportunity and responsibility to practice your faith and create a thirst for God. Thank God for giving your husband a place in his heart that only He can fill, and keep praying that he will turn to the Lord to fill that vacuum!

Thank you so much for even including the idea that some wives have husbands that do not know the Lord. Most blogs and writings are from women who have a saved marriage and we on the other side are not mentioned. It's very lonely. Besides my showing by example and praying I wish there was a site to help us know how to help our spouses{wife or husband} come closer to believing. Do you know of any? Or good books?

First, I wasn't actually the one to include it - these posts labeled "challenge" in italics are taken from the site that's linked at the top of the post - so it wasn't really my idea.
Second, I'm sorry you don't see a lot of support for wives with non-believing spouses in the christian blog world. I think I remember seeing an article somewhere on a blog recently I'm going to go see if I can find on being the believing spouse in the marriage and support and resources, etc. I'll post on it if I can find it!
Third, as far as any good books - this may sound a little cliche' but my first answer of course
would be the Bible. 1 Peter 3:1-5 would be the first place to start - and maybe not just be reading that verse, but reading cross references, etc. I'm afraid I'm not much help just yet, but I'll see what I can find and post on it so please check back soon!
I'll be praying for you too - that God continues to supply you with increasing measures of faith and strength and grace as you seek to bring your husband's heart to God!
